The handbrake mounting plate for the BMW E36 has been designed from scratch by RS-Ultimate to fit perfectly into the factory center tunnel and allow the handbrake to be mounted on the left and right side of the gear lever in any position that is fully comfortable for the driver. The base allows the brake to be mounted in many different positions. Even the most demanding drivers will find the right setting for themselves. The plate has been designed to keep the “clean look” in mind, so that anyone can make holes for mounting the brake in any place without unnecessary drilling.
The plate has holes for screwing the base to the tunnel, thanks to which the entire structure is extremely rigid after assembly. After installing the RS Ultimate plate, there will never be a problem with a tearing tunnel or handbrake handles.
The base can also serve as a reinforcement to repair a damaged tunnel.
Standard handbrakes as well as models with an inverted lever can be mounted on the plate, so the base can be adjusted to your needs.
Assembly is extremely easy. The whole thing is screwed directly to the car tunnel WITHOUT welding.
